Roy B. Assad
Roy is known for doing the impossible in business - like opening an ethnic restaurant off the beaten path and turning a profit in less than five months. In fact, if entrepreneurship were regarded as a gift in the way painting or signing is, then Roy would be considered a genius and it is this genius that he passes along to his coaching clients through the Human Capital Group.
Roy’s varied career began as an insurance salesman for State Farm where he refined the art of selling and was recognized as the leading national salesman several years running. His approach to selling was unusual in that he didn’t sell – he made friends. He sold his products and services by first building relationships and that’s how he was able to build a multi-million dollar insurance agency (RBA) without ever making a cold call.
Roy has since modeled other businesses after RBA including two restaurants and a private sales training and motivational speaking company. Most recently, Roy partnered with the Human Capital Group. As a coach, he helps breathe life into other people’s dreams.
Roy has been a featured speaker at the Dale Carnegie Institute, Leadership Palm Beach County, Yale University Medical School, and the Cornell Club. Currently, he is President of the West Palm Beach Chapter of the Florida Restaurant & Lodging Association. He is also the Chairman of the WPB Downtown Development Authority and the Downtown Redevelopment Agency. He is the past president of the local International Coach Federation Chapter. He sits on the Board of Advisors for the International Coach Federation, Roy also sits on the board of several companies and organizations, including Regent bank, The Arthur Marshall Foundation, The Governors Club to name a few. |
